The Director of CESCI-Carpathia, Mr. Rudolf Bauer, was invited to the first meeting on the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2025/925 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 May 2025 on the Instrument for the Development and Growth of Border Regions (BRIDGEforEU).

The meeting took place on 16 April 2026 at the Albert Borschette Conference Centre in Brussels and was attended by representatives of all EU member states. The meeting was chaired by Ms Nathalie Verschelde, representative of DG REGIO and prepared by Mr Ricardo Ferreira, DG REGIO-D2. Slovakia was represented by the First Secretary of the Permanent Representation of the Slovak Republic to the EU, Mr. Matúš Drotár, who informed that the responsible authority for this regulation will be the Ministry of Investments,
Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic.

Mr. Rudolf Bauer presented the results and experience of the 3-year implementation of the #ACCESS.

 

The city of Tornaľa hosted another seminar in a series of meetings focused on cross-border functional areas along the Slovak-Hungarian border on 6 February 2025.

As part of the Hungarian presidency of the European Council, in Budapest on the 13th-15th In November 2024, another edition of the “Art of cooperation” event took place.

On 16 October 2024, a meeting of the ACCESS project reference group, which aims to remove cross-border barriers between Slovakia and Hungary, took place in Rajka.

The INEUREG 2024 conference was held on October 4, 2024 in Bratislava.

We have finished the first round of reference group meetings. 

On March 12, 2024, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Faculty of Management of Comenius University in Bratislava and CESCI Carpathia.

The Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) ‘s annual conference was held for the first time in Slovakia in Košice in early November 2023.
