was held this year in the picturesque historical and spa town of Gyula in the southeast of Hungary and near the Romanian border. The accompanying program consisted of a tour of the Baroque Almási Castle, built around 1725, and a visit to the famous Bala Géza winery in the Arad region of Romania. The wine tasting offered well-known wines such as Cadarca, Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, but also a great white Viognier 2021, which is not exported. The CESCI Budapest members’ meeting itself brought detailed reports on CESCI’s activities over the past year, including reports from CESCI-Balkans and CESCI-Carpathia, represented by Rudolf Bauer.
